How we forget so easily?

You know in life we could pass through all manner of trials and tribulations. There are many circumstances in life where we go through financial issues, housing issues, educational misfortunes, a loss of a loved one, immigration issues, marital issues, dismissal at work, natural disasters, being raped, miscarriages, disability issues or being afflicted with one ailment or the other. In the face of these calamities we find someone to blame and the obvious victim is always God. Whether you are saved or not we all feel the blame to point our fingers to God for the mishaps that occur. However what we fail to comprehend is that our God ‘is all loving’, ‘merciful’, ‘a father’, ‘a lover’, ‘our protector’ and ‘comforter; Why will your father want to cause you pain? Why will your father try to bring you misery and anguish?

When things are working out in life such as passing our exams or getting a new job or graduating or finally finding your predestined partner, why do we forget to thank the God almighty but are quick to throw blames when things are going downhill?

Do you not know that our God cannot play a role in our downfall because he loves us! God is love and he will never hurt us! Your father and mother may abandon you but our Sovereign Lord is always there. What we fail to acknowledge till this point of our lives, is that the things you want is not what he wants for you.

Jeremiah 29 vs 11 – “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”

God has great things in store for our destinies. The key is abiding to his word and serving him with your whole totality and he will work everything else out.

Romans 8 vs 28 – “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

Proverbs 3 vs 5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

The more you run from him the worse your life will spiral down to destruction. Trust me I am talking based on experience! I was born into a God fearing household. I knew the bible from beginning to end but I did not have that personal relationship with him. I just felt like being a Christian was boring and that I will have no fun, so I began to run from him. What I failed to know is that I could not run from who I was because I am not of this world for any reason but to achieve his purpose. There was absolutely no running from his presence! The more I ran, the worse it got. I was an empty vessel without him. I needed him to survive. The more I was in the world, the more issues followed me. I do not know why we are so stubborn in life because we could have avoided all these calamities if we just abided to his will. I guess now I have a story to tell to my youths that we do indeed serve a living God who is Faithful and Just to forgive.

Trust me with him everything will begin to make sense. You will be thinking to yourself why did it take me so long. Don’t worry it is better late than never. You are finally here where God wants you to be!

The mission is just starting out!
No more Rebellion or Delay!
Time to make the right choice!
You cannot serve two masters!

Time to abide to his will no matter the cost! It will not be easy but it most definitely will be worth it!

Romans 12 vs 2 – “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
